Due to COVID-19 concerns, Governor Hogan has moved the Primary Election to June 2, 2020. If in-person voting remains an option for the election, then early voting will take place from Thursday, May 21, 2020 through Thursday, May 28, 2020. However, yesterday the State Board of Elections recommended that the election move to mail-in only ballots. Governor Hogan has not announced whether he will heed these recommendations or not.
As of now, we are encouraging everyone to vote by mail to ensure a safe voting experience. Anyone can request an absentee ballot without needing a particular reason. You can request an absentee ballot online or our team can send an application to you. Call us at 410-340-0870 and we will help you out.
Did you see that Paris was quoted in the Baltimore Brew about the difficulty candidates are facing with the change in election date? Now that the election has been pushed back, our race has become much more expensive. We can no longer interact one-on-one with voters, which means we need to spend more on mailers and digital ads. Plus, we now have an additional 35 days of campaign costs like staff wages, office rent, etc.
Can you help us make it to Election Day by making a contribution today? We know times are tough with the economy right now, but even $5 or $10 would be incredibly helpful.
Our team headquarters is closed, but rest assured that we are still working hard. The health and safety of our community is our top concern right now. If you need any resources, have questions, or simply need someone to talk to – please call us at 410-340-0870. You can also check out Paris’ COVID-19 Resource Page here.
Helping Out Neighbors
There are round-the-clock volunteer efforts going on in Baltimore City. Earlier this week, Team Paris volunteers helped with supply manufacturing by making personal protective equipment for healthcare workers. See more here.
Earlier today, Paris also donated blood with the Red Cross because there is an extreme blood shortage due to the number of recent blood drive cancellations. Sign up to donate blood.
Our Team Paris volunteers have been helping the community by giving their time to safe, approved volunteer opportunities. If you are healthy and able, please consider helping out during this time of crisis. Volunteer now.
